If you're like me, you want your meal planning made easy. OurFitnessHouse takes healthy eating seriously and we want to put the best and most efficient tools in your hands. We recently came across the emeals program and decided to give it a try. The verdict? We love it and it's so easy to use!
Curious? You can try it yourself for two weeks for free. Before you do though, ask yourself the following questions.
Do you want to eat healthier but don't know where to begin?
Are your meals becoming boring and uninspired?
Do you avoid buying new foods or certain spices because you don't know how to use them?
Do you dread hearing the question, “What's for dinner?”
If you answered yes to one or more of those questions then emeals is worth a try.
Face it! Sometimes we get in a rut – we buy the same things, we cook the same things, and we eat the same things. And, on the rare occasion that we decide to try something new, the inspiration fades fast when we realize that we don't have the necessary ingredients on hand. But, if you are tired of hearing your family moan, “spaghetti again.....” then it may be time for a change.
Some changes are harder to make than others, but, this one is really easy. I promise! Emeals makes the transition simple and painless. Your meals will move from dull and boring (and maybe even unhealthy) to delicious, home-cooked, and nutritious in as little as one week. “What's for dinner?” will never be stressful again!
Healthy Meal Planning Is as Easy as 1,2,3... Literally!
Pick Your Plan. There are about 20 dinner meal plans to choose from, plus breakfast, dessert, and lunch options (making over 50 plan options in total). All you have to do is decide which one fits your family size, lifestyle, and eating preference the best. There is everything from Clean Eating to Budget Friendly, plus options for specialized diets like Paleo, Gluten Free, Diabetic, or Vegetarian. If you think that your schedule is too busy to prepare an elaborate meal, then try the Slow Cooker or 30-Minute Meal menus.
Not sure which plan you want? No problem! You can simply click the “view sample” button and emeals will show you a sample plan which includes 3 meals, complete with recipes.
Get Your Recipes. Every week, your meal plan will be sent to your email, but you can also access it by logging into your emeals account on the website. It includes 7 entrees with side dishes, plus detailed preparation instructions.
But, perhaps thebest feature of all is the amazing shopping list. Not only does it list every ingredient you will need for the entire week, but it is even organized according to supermarket departments. All you have to do is print it, check off what you need, and you will be ready to make mouth-watering meals. For the tech-savvy, there is also an app available when you subscribe.
Prepare Your Meals. Now that you have the recipes and the ingredients, it is easy to make interesting, delicious meals whether you are cooking for yourself or a large family.
Still not convinced that meal planning made easy can actually be so...easy? Well, below are a few more benefits that make the emeals menu plan worth consideration.
Benefits of Meal Planning Made Easy with Emeals
It's inexpensive. The dinner subscription is $58/year. That's less than $5 a month! If you want to add a breakfast, lunch, or dessert plan, you will pay an additional fee; however, you can have it all for under $18 a month if you subscribe for a full year at a time. Shorter length plans (3 month, 6 month) are slightly more expensive.
Simple and Practical. Many cooking magazines or websites include complicated recipes with obscure ingredients that aren't typically part of the average family's menu. At emeals, unless you choose the Gourmet option, you will find “real” recipes with “normal” ingredients that are easy to prepare. You will be able to make healthy, interesting, tasty meals that the whole family will eat. There are even some great Kid Friendly meals.
Flexibility. You can change your plan online up to 10 times per month. If you go over this limit, you can simply call them and they will make the changes for you. That's customer service! Where else can you change your mind that many times?
Availability. When you visit the website, there is a live chat option in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. From my experience, they answer instantly and are always very helpful.
Store-Based Option. For many plans, if you choose a grocery store preference from their list, your menus will be coordinated with weekly sales. It should be noted that there are not very many stores to choose from and this option is not available to anyone outside of the U.S.A. However, if you regularly shop at one of the offered stores, using this feature could help you save on food costs.
Blog. Blog entries offer great resources including guides, tips, recipes, and user reviews.
Free Trial. If you aren't sure how well the program will fit with your family or lifestyle, emeals offers a free 14 day trial so you can see how it works before deciding if it is worth the investment.
Adaptable. It is fairly simple to adapt many of the recipes to your personal needs. For example, a clean eating menu recipe can easily be made Gluten Free by substituting rice noodles for whole wheat pasta, or Vegan by replacing non-dairy options for milk and cheese. Without a lot of rearranging you can accommodate allergies or multiple eating needs within the same family.
Print. You can save or print out the recipes and shopping lists so they can be used again in the future. That way you can keep your favorites and stay stocked up on essential staple ingredients.
Smartphone App. All this convenience can be right at your fingertips – with the simple push of a button. And, you will never have to worry about forgetting your shopping list at home.
See? Meal planning really can be as easy as 1,2,3! Now you can get organized, shop smart, and prepare meals that everyone will enjoy. Check out the 14 day free trial. You have nothing to lose!
