Eating Healthy Foods with Protein

Protein is found in almost all plants, especially nuts and whole grains. Getting your protein from plant sources (in addition to lean animal and fish protein) is an excellent way to take in enough each day. Hemp seeds are complete proteins just like chicken, fish, and beef. The omega 3 fatty acids in hemp seeds help reduce inflammation, lower cholesterol and blood pressure. They are also a great source of essential minerals like magnesium, iron, and zinc. Finally, the fiber in them helps improve bowel function. Add a tablespoon or 2 to your cereal, yogurt, salad, or smoothie for a powerful nutritional boost.
