How to change the shape of my legs which look like inverted triangles. Any advice please

I'm a 21 year old women and terrified of wearing anything that shows my legs. I'm at a normal weight and don't really have weight to lose but I have big thighs and really slim calves. My legs look like two inverted triangles it looks awful. Is there any advice on what exercises I can do to change the shape of my legs, I really want them to have that gorgeous proportionate look that most women have if it is at all possible which I believe it is if I just have the right tools to work with! any help or advice would really be appreciated.

Many thanks!
Bee

Hi Bee,

This is Kim from ourfitnesshouse.

I recently turned 52, and a few years ago I had the same issue with my legs. I found the best way to tighten and tone my upper legs was to do a variety of leg exercises with high repetitions.
Squats, lunges, and hip abductors were the best exercises to target the thighs specifically. I eventually had six of these exercises where I did 4 sets of 25 reps. It sounds like a lot, and it took me awhile to get to that level, but it was the way to go for me. If you can be patient and consistently do these exercises twice a week, you should see slimmer thighs and a new tone and "cut" in your legs in about two months.

I wear shorts way above my knees all the time now (which I didn't do for years)...and I love my legs!!!

I have most of my exercises on our site under "Kim's fitness Corner", I hope this was helpful Bee, and please feel free to share your thoughts with me anytime.

Kim
